Awards Eligibility Post 2023

I haven’t done an awards eligibility post since 2020, but since this year was a short fiction year, I thought I’d do one. I wrote a novelette which is wild because I didn’t even know what a novelette was until I wrote one. (It’s a fiction piece between 7,500-17,500 words FYI.) It’s called “Falling Bodies” and it’s one of my more personal works that deals with transracial (or in this case transspecies) adoption. But it’s not an easy read, as adoption is not an easy fate. CW: self-harm. (On sale for .99 at Amazon through 12/31.)

I also wrote a couple of horror shorts, stretching my legs a bit into a different genre although my SFF work has always had a touch of horror, too. Check out “White Hills” in Never Whistle At Night and “Eye & Tooth” in Out There Screaming.

And if you’re so inclined, consider them for your awards choices! Thanks for reading.
