  1. I am in a book club that read your book Tread of Angels. Do you have any suggestions on questions for our group discussion about your book? Anything will help. Thank you 🙏🏽

    1. Hi Gloria – You can talk about the book in the context of Weird Westerns which is a genre that challenges the traditional Western (think John Wayne or the traditional cowboy v Indian trope) and shifts representation to the marginalized. You can talk about it in terms of race, class, and power. You can talk about sister relationships, being blind to the people closest to us, how far we would go for family. You can talk about women and power and lack thereof. You can talk about race and “passing” and color politics. You can talk about how hot Abraxas is ;). You can talk about what you would have done if you were Celeste and was she right or wrong, and what about that ending. You can talk about noir influences. Hope this helps. Thanks for reading and tell your book club I said Hello!
